A farewell to Windows.

Currently, I am using Ubuntu for laptop OS and here is why.

I consider myself as a hardcore user of my laptop.
After almost 4 years of service, that laptop shows symptoms of of its end. It crashed for almost 20 times per day and since that's the only laptop I  have, I need to bear with it.
However, the crashes is now unbearable and I try to install Ubuntu with hope it will reduce the crashes if use different OS. The laptop will crash during the installation so I just abandon it.
Luckily, I have a desktop computer here in my house which also some issue but I managed to fix it. Since then, I am using that desktop.
Recently, I have tried disassembled laptop and put all the component back together. I really don't know what I did, but after that I have successfully install Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot into my machine. It works fine in my laptop. It did crashed but the it frequency has greatly reduced.
I have tried to install Windows 7 alongside with Ubuntu as my second OS but no luck, it will crash during the installation.
Hence, I bid farewell to Windows 7 (for laptop) and hello to Ubuntu 11.10.

Update: The Acer 2920 is confirmed to be no longer functional.
